Neal Frisby Sermon 06/06/1982 AM DVD#152 – Cd 912 part 1
1.You just watch television, if you allow the anointing of the Lord and the word of the Lord to reach into homes, it will drive out any of the oppression or possession or obsession or whatever is bothering you. “Stress Factor”, you get that stress out of there and you can do much more for yourself and you will feel good, how many of you believe that? Alright, and so we listen really closely there, I am going to read a few quotes that we believe are causing the greatest damage to people; to Christians too. That is spiritually and physically, but Jesus said in the word of God, you already have peace if you learn how to put it to work by the Holy Spirit.
In 2nd Corinthians 10:3-4, we read shortly here, it says, for though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh, see? for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, (cannot use carnal things to solve your problems), but mighty through God to pull down strongholds, casting down imaginations or anything that will cause you to have anything negative, to cause doubt. Listen to this right here, imagining something is going to happen to you, many people think any second something is going to happen to them, well it will, if you keep thinking that way. Do you believe that? See, if you’re going to imagine something, it pays to be cautious, sure and to do as the scripture says but when it becomes an obsession and you get to thinking in any minute that something is going to happen to you, you can not have a joyful life. You have to put your hands in the Lord, and be very confident even though you are cautious, you are not tormented, do you believe that? Are you going to imagine anything? Imagine the good things, things that make you feel good, things that give you confidence, you begin to do that, but the other people, they imagine the things that are going to get hold of them. Job said, the things that I feared came upon me, and the Bible teaches us to watch and be very positive there, and it is scripture this way.
2. You know, Stress is like a balloon. It begins to build up and anxiety the same way, and tension begins to come. People in their home are listening to these things that I’m talking about, sometimes it just seems like they can’t help with their family and their children and debt is the factor. Sometimes they get over debt and now that will start that strain, they are going to find a way out of that. Put it in the hands of the Lord. Don’t allow it to get a hold of them. In their jobs, they don’t want to lose their jobs and it becomes a stress factor, but the Bible gives a way out. It doesn’t mean that you won’t be confronted by these things, you will be, but the Bible gives you a kind of an armor that no matter what happens; for a moment it may try to get a hold of you, but you are able to shed it by the power of the Lord. So it’s like a balloon, when stress, tension build up, unless there’s a release, it will just blow up, you believe that? Alright, you found out in Mark 6, it is recorded, where Jesus sent His disciples to do His work among the multitude, they returned tired, hungry, they were edgy and they were kind of upset. He said the reason that He said it this way, “Come ye yourself apart into a desert place.” was, well in Arizona we are already in the desert place, we got that much going forth, haven’t we? See, we got that much going forth already, so we are here, come yourself apart, Now if you don’t side with the Lord Jesus, you will come apart. He said come ye yourself apart or you will come apart. Now it does you no good just to get alone, well it can help you somewhat, but the secret is in the secret place of the Most High; and when you do get alone, have your thoughts on the Lord Jesus and that stress shall begin to depart. So He said into a desert place, rest a while for there are many comings and goings, maybe through here and by your home, this way and that way, downtown, friends are coming and going and they have no leisure. So much to even eat and they departed into a desert place by ship privately, He said come ye apart, now when they left the multitude and what they were doing and all of their business, who did they come apart and who did they come aside with? The very One that told them, come ye apart, aside, see, over here they came aside with the Lord Jesus alone, didn’t they? So the Scripture is so positive there, when you come apart, He will already be there. He’s going there with you and He will bless, He will relieve that tension from your heart, just a little faith, and be it according to your faith and great things can be wrought. The human brain is the most amazing, miraculous thing that God has created, but it has its limitations. It can index worldwide of things that can go in the mind, but if your mind is negative and things coming to them wrong, then it will build up pressure in there.
So, we find out here, it need relaxation and if you don’t, it will begin to get hold of your mind there, it begins to get hold of your heart, Jesus Himself acknowledge the fact in the stress build up and as we read 2nd Thessalonians 2:7-11, Satan is the instigator of mental illness spreading today, and he has many of his devices, stress is one of them. You know if you get under stress, you begin to get under strain and you can’t think right, therefore you will make wrong decisions, some people pray about wisdom and they do have wisdom but allow anxiety and stress to interfere with it; and when they do, they cannot think properly and you would make the wrong decisions, you just need a relaxation and so that you do not. The devil will get you running after a thousand unimportant things in order to get you to neglect the very thing that you need to do. How many of you believe that? You will be doing maybe a thousand different little odd things that mean nothing and Satan will make you start doing all of them and you will neglect the very important thing that you should do. It begins to build up in your mind here, so we find out; divide your time and energy, Jesus is our example in all things and we read Philippians 2:5, let… Now it is up too high, it is up to the television audience here, listen to what it says, Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, now when you are praying, it means that the Holy Spirit is already moving on you.
He’s ahead of your praying, He foresaw you praying, it says, Let.., you’ve to allow the Holy Spirit mind of the Lord Jesus begin to move, and when, if you let the same mind be in you, then this stress, the anxiety that you are confronted with everyday; Paul said he came aside each day, I die daily to the flesh, I relief this tension, and all these for tomorrow, which no one knows if l live and be alive, I would stand before this magistrate one day, this king the next day, they are threatening to destroy me over here, they are threatening to murder me over there, but Paul everyday he died out to those things that were bothering him. He put it completely into the hands of the Lord, with each passing day; with the disciples and the apostles not knowing some of them would be beheaded, some of them were crucified, some of them different things would happened to them and with all of those problems and the disciples during that time were able to live in peace with the Lord and right. How much more today and you are not faced with the same exact factors. You see it works, you know why? They (disciples) had the mind of the Lord Jesus in them, let the same mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus. There’s where life is, and you begIn to pray and get alone with the Lord, He said come ye apart, when they did, they were with Him and that’s the way that works, so we have that, He’s our example.
3. Now worry, it torments the mind, and the body. Another snare of the devil which leads to emotional tension is “Worry”. Worry is a mental agitation by one’s own ability to do something that he wants to do but can’t do it, or that someone will not listen to them or they are not able to meet their obligation. Put them in the hands of the Lord, cast your burden upon the Lord because you can’t change your stature one way of the other the Bible says. You must learn to do this, now that doesn’t mean to deliberately neglect on purpose, but to do all you can for the Lord. Whatever the problem is, I can guarantee you one thing when you cast your burden upon Him, you will begin to get the mind of Christ, because He comes in there and He begins to work. You see, there is action, there is an effort, there is a faith on your part. You can just you know, say, imagine it going to go away, it wont,you have to act upon the scriptures, you have to work with the Lord Jesus and when you come alone, to rest in the Lord. Then you rest and have your mind on the Lord and things begin to take place; and then here’s another thing that causes worry too. Some people think there is no way out, when I was writing some notes that came to me, finally they keep building up, they go from one state to the other, sometimes a little anxiety, some from nerves, sometimes it gets a little erratic and it brings anxiety. Then great stress comes upon them, they are obsessed with the fact that something is going to happen any minute. This leads to one thing or the other, pretty soon with all of the inflation, with all of the family problems, with all of the things happening in world events surrounding your minds everyday. Something happening here, war over here, somebody dies over here, somebody got shot over here, somebody stabbed over here, pretty soon the mind just goes like lightning. You say, where is the Lord Jesus? See, have Him in your mind and He will bless your heart, so it builds up finally; people get this, there is no way out. Then Satan has put a real good wall and he had built a wall around them, where they go to thinking there is no way out, let me tell you, That’s just the time there is a million ways out, saith the Lord, for I have brought you up against it, turn ye with Me and I will bless you,how many believes that?
4. Sometimes you go right up against the wall because God says “well you won’t listen to me? I will just let you walk right up into it, you see? Then you see, like you know the wheel gets into the pen, God’s sheep get into the pen sometimes too, and you walk right in there and you can’t get out of there, there is no way out, you know what He said? I Am the Door, to any place you walk up against “I Am the Door”, “I Am the Good Shepherd” He said, I know you by name and when I call you, see, it’s My Voice and I will lead you, I will be before you and behind you to keep away the devil, that’s exactly right. So He’s our good Shepherd and He will lead you out of any state that you are in, but when you get up in the pen or up against the wall, you have to call for the Shepherd. You get trapped in there, so there is a way out and that’s what the journey all leads to, and then when people go to thinking that way, if they stay in that condition, they will get washed into oppression, you see, and it will get worse. I want to read a Scripture here, listen to this real close, The Lord said just the opposite, He said, Be strong and of good courage, mine, how wonderful that is, you say. But you just don’t understand my problem, bro Frisby, I am sitting in my home here, I have all kinds of problems. Well you know been in the ministry is not easy, sometimes when the Lord tells you to do things that are expensive, things that are costly. He’s moving on you and these people are sick, all over the nation. You are going all over the world, you have to pray too. I understand your conditions because thousands and thousands or people I have prayed for, I get to listen to them. They write me letters from all over the nations, I understand what is happening in your homes, what’s happening in Pennsylvania and California and happening up in Alaska and overseas and everywhere. Typical type problems, I know they are not easy but let me tell you something, there is anointing and power of God to break the yoke the Bible says. He said, learn of Me for My yoke is easy, My burden is light, the world’s burden is the heaviest thing, full of tension, anxiety and worry. That’s the world’s burden that’s upon the earth, it’s like a cloud dropping upon the people; but let me tell you something, the burden of the Lord when you take Him in brother, you are free indeed. Whosoever the Son of man makes free is free indeed. I understand those problems, no, they’re not easy to just get out all at once, but follow through with the power of praise and the power of the Lord. Let the same mind be in you and come apart with your mind fixed on the Lord. Those things will begin to move back like a cloud cover that the wind is blowing away ,how many of you say, Amen?
5. Be strong and of good courage, be not afraid neither be dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with thee. You mean with me? Yes, He’s with you but you haven’t recognized it yet. The Lord thy God is with thee, means, right here. Yeah and then it says here, And wheresoever you goeth, I am still with you. You can come,you can go, the Lord is there and that’s right, Joshua 1:9. Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, if your mind is getting sluggish, your mind is full of worry, tension, and anxiety, renewing of your mind is to take a new look at the Lord Jesus. Allow praise and power in your heart and allow faith. Begin to expect a miracle, renewing your mind in the Word and the power of the Lord and then when there’s no way out, the Bible says, depression begins to set in. Depression is perhaps the number one cause of mental illness and nervous breakdown today. It is Satan’s main tool and among his biggest arsenal he uses to attack the mind. It leaves the victim completely defenseless, against any negative fault that enters his brain. Now when you begin to get depressed, everything becomes negative all of a sudden to you, that’s absolutely right. I have had people write to me and I prayed for people. Depression is a state of mind, in which the victim sees himself in a situation from which he is completely unable to deliver himself, he is hopelessly trapped but whosoever the Son of Man makes free is free indeed, isn’t that wonderful? And when the satan shall build up a flood, the Lord thy God shall build up a greater standard and go against him (Satan). In your trap, the state of depression becomes more hopeless, with each passing day until one of them thinks finally they are in the bottomless pit of hell because this thing can get rough.
Today is the day of Salvation, today is the day of deliverance, you don’t have to be that way any longer. Lord just reach out to us in this torment, these homes and break that by the power of the Lord. If you have faith, it is gone, you do as He says and these instructions, begin to follow them, and you will be completely delivered by the power of the Lord, by the power of faith. So we see, it says here in the Bible, slipping into depression you need to pray and one of the things is to believe the promises of the Lord for they are deliverance and he said, He The Lord delivered me said David, from all of my fears and He delivered me, so He will deliver you from all of your fears.
6. It says be content with such things as you have for He has said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. If you’re content with what you have, He will give you more, that’s the Holy Spirit that spoke in the last part. If you are content with what you have, He will give you more, it’s no matter what He does for you, you’re not content, that’s why you get less and less, how many of you believe that? Because you are tested atimes and if you learn to see that it is a test, you have your faith or whatever it is, no matter how deep you get, no matter how innocent; even people listening to this, He will come to you. He said I will never leave you nor forsake you, and He will bless you, and if you’re content about what the Lord is doing for you, He will add more and more until the hundredfold blessing breaks out in your church. That’s wonderful and it’s from the Lord, you know we got that depression, anxiety and worry will trap every negative thought, until there is no escape. I wrote this note just before I got here. Get completely free from that, because depression will trap all the negative thoughts and the Son will make you free, we know. Now a free mind by the power of the Holy Spirit will trap positive thoughts, now that’s unusual, isn’t it? He brought that in there, when your mind is totally on the Lord and you praise the Lord, see, praise builds up a presence, it will break anything and you begin to think thanksgiving is wonderful. Just to walk around and thank the Lord when you have time. He will do it in your home, there will be a presence in there to help you up against any dark presence that would come up against you, and so positive when the mind is free, and be it according to your faith. Have this mind in Jesus, He said He gives you a sound mind. The Bible said, not fear but a sound mind; that means a good mind, then He, then when your mind is free it builds up positive thoughts of faith and Joy, negative thoughts causes torment, it causes sadness, it causes depression, that’s what negative thoughts will cause.
7. God does not give us the spirit of fear, but the Bible said of a sound mind, I think it’s just wonderful. Listen to this, now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think, oh He’s in the mind again, He’s able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that you and the television audience are even able to think; where have you been, can’t you hear? In the auditorium, above more than you can even think for, isn’t that wonderful? That’s power, somebody says “ Oh I’m so deep and dead, there you’re up against the wall, but the Lord will take you out of there, He will bless you not only that, He’ll turn that around. The Bible says that He turns you around and does just the opposite and He will even bring a blessing, do you believe that? You say “I’m full of nerves, I’ve had so much happening to my life, I don’t believe I’ll ever get out of it, that’s just when the Holy Spirit can work for you. Oh so magnificent because you will turn and act by your faith; it is wonderful because He’s a great God. He can do above all that we ask or think, but listen to this, according to the power that works within us. Then you say, where is the power that is within you? Where is your faith that’s within you? Each man and woman, He’s dealt a measure of faith and that faith can grow and grow until great exploits and the kingdom of God. The Bible said, some look to this church, some look to this system, some look to this over here but the Bible said here, the kingdom of God is within you. Faith is within you, you have that faith but you must start expecting, you must activate your faith that’s within you and you can ask above anything that you ask the Lord. He’s able to deliver, you can have whatsoever you saith, though another scripture says, Ask anything in My Name (The Lord Jesus Christ) and I will do it (John 14:12), according to the power that is within you. You have to learn to praise the Lord, to read His Word, to listen to the anointing and believe. That power begins to move in such a way above anything that you can ask or even think about. Now this sounds fantastic but this is now, the Lord Jesus and these are His words and His words are positive. He will not take back a single word, I have seen them fulfilled thousands of times in people’s lives, in my own life, I have seen the Lord moving every scripture nearly in this Bible. It is a promise, He is fantastic, isn’t He? It’s wonderful.
8. But people, when they get the blues and melancholy, they don’t have the effort to even look for these promises. Satan has defeated them, see, but these promises are in the Bible. He said ask, it shall be given, knocking the door shall be opened, how wonderful that is, peace I leave with you, My peace I have given to you, now that you find out you have faith and you find out that you have power within you, now you find out you have peace within you, so oh with this war going on inside of me, where is peace? I’m warring from one member to the other, I can’t think straight , I can’t do anything straight. Relax, come you apart aside with the Lord and begin to learn to have relaxation and rest in your mind. Get your mind upon the Lord and allow your faith. People don’t get alone, enough time to allow their faith to even work. Get into these services, put your hands in the power of God. He will heal you by miracle, a gift of God, come in here where the anointing is moving, where you can have more confidence and you will feel the presence of the Lord and His power. He says, I give unto you peace, you got it, you’ve got to allow that to begin to work, see, and that will begin to work in your heart, how? Get rid of those negative thoughts and get rid of the doubts and as soon as you wash out the doubts and get rid of the negative thoughts, the peace begins to come in and peace begins to rise and it begins to bloom; and pretty soon you have rest, how many of you there believe that?
9. In the Bible it said, at the end of the age in Isaiah 28, he said, the Lord shall send, during a complex state of affairs, a nervous world of worry and tension and perplexion, I will send among them, in the midst of that. I will send a refreshing rest, how many of you know that? And He said, it’ll blow like winds of the Holy Spirit upon My people and those that have an open heart and seek for it, shall find this spiritual rest, which you cannot find in a bottle. Which you cannot find in any kind of a place, but you can find in the Lord Jesus by the Holy Spirit. The Lord will send a refreshing, oh my, rest upon the earth to those that learn where the secret place of The Most High is, under the shadow wings of God, isn’t that wonderful? He said, let not your heart be troubled nor let it be afraid, that’s part of the scripture that came behind that. I give you peace, I give you rest, therefore He says, let not your heart be troubled, see, don’t let your heart get a hold of you, you get a hold of your heart. Let not your heart get a hold of you, it says and be not troubled neither let it be afraid, Jesus the magnificent it is here. The things which are impossible with men are possible with God the Bible says. Then listen to this, if any man be in the mind of Christ, he is a new creature, my isn’t that wonderful? Just point blank statements backed up by the Lord God and faith. Behold old things have passed away, all those old problems, worries and fears and those things that we have are all passed away, behold all things have become new. You know people in their mental state of affairs, and their worry, and their torment, what goes with it in this world, in their jobs and their problems, they will be faced with these things, but what I’m doing this morning will relieve that tension.
10 It will cause that stress to depart by the power of the Holy Spirit and when you’re confronted, remember the word of these sermons. By praising and giving thanksgiving to the Lord, let your mind get along with the Lord and He will give you strength. Expect in your heart, allow that faith to begin to move and be it according to your faith and He will do even above what you’re able to thank Him for, by the power of the Holy Spirit. So we have, behold He says, you’re a new creature, behold all things are become new, 2nd Corinthians 5:17, and the same mind in Christ. He says, you are new creature, behold new things, everything becomes new, all of that worry, fear, the old troubles, the old problems, He will wash them on out of there, He will build your state of mind, a sound mind and He will bless your heart, some people say; you over-state and all that, not with what I have seen. My, it’s just this way and that way, by the power of God. The way that it works, it is just wonderful, don’t you believe that? Because I’m standing right with the Word of God here, I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me Paul said, I can see you’re involved, I can do all things through Christ, I’m using Christ Name (The Lord Jesus Christ), he says, in the mind of Christ, I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me and I said in Him we live and more and have our being, do you believe that? In Him not in yourself, not in system, not anywhere down here, but in Him we have, we live and move and have our being in the Lord Jesus, by His power. I believe it’s just wonderful, don’t you? We do, so remember if you allow the freedom of the Holy Spirit to begin to move, it can bless your heart.
11. Now to the audience here, there is one more thing that causes stress and it causes strain, and it leads into something like witchcraft, magic, charmer, and different things like that. Now we’re going to a five minutes broadcast, now you and the television audience and a former ABC affiliate, Dan Allison will be asking me questions, will show you another factor, but remember there is a deliverance from stress and stay away from some of the things that I am going to mention in this five minutes broadcast. Let’s give the Lord a handclap, Praise the Lord.

Neal Frisby: Now Dan (presenter) this is an important subject
Dan Allison: We’re gonna talk about “Witchcraft” and you predict a new surge of witchcraft.
Neal Frisby: Sure, I don’t believe in witchcraft, I mean it’s out there and people do believe in it, but there’s going to be in the 80’s different surges of witchcraft and It is very dangerous because it leaves people in confusion and it can get a hold of the mind and the nervous system too, because it’s falsity (lie) of sorcery, witchcraft. Many innocent looking games that the children are beginning to play with, you know, are leading into witchcraft, so the parents should watch what their children are playing with because it does lead into demonic powers.
Dan Allison: Well you don’t mean literal witchcraft? But there are things that are sort of inclined, short of what we traditionally know as witchcraft.
Neal Frisby: That’s right, it will lead to the hardcore witchcraft.
Dan Allison: Other symbols, how about Voodoo pills?
Neal Frisby: Well, you know we have sorcery, now the word ‘Pharmakeia’ in the Greek, pharmacy is taken from ‘Pharmakeia’, our portions you know we still have today Well here’s what the danger is, and I’ve tried to pray for people and faith and power in God will break it, He The Lord Jesus will break witchcraft too, but just have simple power and faith in God,The Lord Jesus Christ. The only thing that really breaks that, but they’re on the street and through prescription Different things people are receiving, these pills are tranquilizers (drugs taken to reduce tension or anxiety) and millions of them literally. Finally they have to, they are addicted and make a vegetable, like a Zombie, to cast a spell upon them, that’s where zombie pharmakeia comes from. The word ‘sorcery’ is derived from that. I know that doctors do some good and are helping people but at the same time, we still have some witch doctors among us today because people are getting hooked in such a way, they are like Zombies (a corpse said to be revived by witchcraft), caring for nothing. But another pill and they are getting them on the streets and some of those that they are manufacturing today can absolutely, just like cast spells upon them. The children and teenagers should be very careful, don’t delve into these pills and so forth like that, because it can be, it can tear their life down, they can abuse, recommend medication and physically get involved in witchcraft. The thing is faith in God builds your body up strong, plenty of exercise and sunshine and your nervous system won’t need any of these types of pills, because they are dangerous.
Dan Allison: Instead of believing in pills, believe in?
Neal Friday: Believe in God (The Lord Jesus Christ) exactly, with faith He will help you. (Remark on Cassette)
Dan Allison: Now let’s talk about Zombies (a corpse said to be revived by witchcraft)
Neal Friday: Well, yeah, you know, some of these things that they’re taking, they are on the streets, they get it, they look like they are dead while they are still alive. They are so taken over by these new pills and new things that are happening there Let me tell the audience something, when the antichrist, world leader takes over, most of them are going to be involved in drugs and pills, but and I feel in prophecy this is prophecy, not predicting, the antichrist system world leader that will appear, it’s coming there is no way out of it. He will come finally, he is going to put something in the water for the people of the earth and they will be under control because they worship him even as God when he is not. They later will have some kind of influencing drugs to calm the masses because the world will be going into lawlessness that we have never seen before and this is coming later in the age.
Dan Allison : And the big answer to all these of course is faith.
Neal Frisby: Faith and power, that’s right
Dan Allison: That’s right, you have got to believe in something and be sure to overcome all of it.
Neal Frisby: Get a real double dose portion of Salvation, Okay.
Dan Allison: Now you predicted again, a new surge of witchcraft around the world and it will manifest itself in several ways like these new games that you talk about. Neal Frisby: Sure and it will be deeper than that. They will get into sorcery, materializing, dematerializing, body rising, all kinds of things, walking on fire, yeah. It is going to get in judo type, like the magicians and Moses; remember they could imitate a certain amount but God’s power was greater and they went as far as they could go and they couldn’t go no further, God’s power is greater.
