TRANSLATION ALERT 147

TESTED FAITH Neal Frisby CD #1298 1-31-90 (PM)

Oh, praise the Lord, Jesus! Alright, are you ready to believe tonight? Lord, you are going before us, Lord, just like the Cloud and the Pillar of Fire and you are guiding your people, Lord, every day. And those that believe with all of their hearts, you have good things coming for them. Now, touch each person here tonight and let your anointing anoint their minds and hearts, and increasing their faith and the power of faith within their heart, Lord, and Thy Word becomes realism to them. Touch each new heart here tonight. Everybody together, Lord, let a blessing go home with them. Let’s praise the Lord. Let’s thank the Lord. Thank you, Jesus! Alright, go ahead and be seated. Lord, bless your heart.

And so, you know, Sunday night, that was a touchy film. How many of you believe that? Now, in the audience, we had a little mixture of new people, some of it came from that. Evidently, some of the coming people had dabbled around in that. You know, I can feel the system of things like that. And I went home, and I prayed to the Lord. I said, “You know, they should accept that sermon because it’s against demon powers.” Why is it that people are bound up? And He says, “satan is pushing to make them think there’s not that much to it.” There is that much to it! How many of you believe that? Now, if you don’t want to believe what I’m telling you, take your Ouija board and fortune cookies and go down a highway. Amen. You will be surprised today how many people are dabbling in those things today. Maybe not very many in here, but they were in the audience. You could detect it in the audience there. So when I went home, I thought about some things. Then the Lord showed me some things. You are not going to have every sermon that’s going to work, I realize that I know that, but sometimes it shows you where people’s faith is when they think they’ve really got faith. But when they are put to the test, they don’t have what they think they have. You know what? Some people’s faith is as high as their pocketbook. When their pocketbook goes down, their faith goes down. When they don’t feel good, then they don’t have faith. They only have faith when they feel good. They only have faith if they’ve got a lot around them. That’s not faith. That’s some kind of a fantasy. How many of you believe it? That is going by feeling.

1.This message will do you some good tonight. I don’t preach anything unless it will do you some good if you will listen to it. And from the things that He’s shown me that are coming, and going, you want to keep your faith and keep it in perfect accord with that bible. You are going to need it. How many of you realize that? Exactly right. So indeed, the Lord confirmed that the truth goes forth. But with new people and other people and some people, you know, when you get on the devil’s trail, and you expose demon powers, you begin to find out who’s got the devil. How many of you believe that? Amen. Now, I wrote this down. We are living in deceptive and perilous times. Is your faith up to standard? Now, that’s why the Lord brought that to me. Can you contend as the ancients of faith? Or are you careless with your faith? Do you believe like you should? Examine it, Paul said. Examine and see if you’ve got the faith that you are talking about. Now, I wrote down, tried faith, after I got finished and the Holy Spirit wrote this, is real faith. That came out not from me. I put down, tried faith, and I looked back and it said, is real faith. Now, did you catch that? That is as good as a whole sermon now. You can preach a whole sermon and come up with those very things. Tried faith is real faith. Look at the prophets. If you are not tried, if you just got faith, there’s no way that you can prove that faith is any good. But when you are tested or contested, and once that faith is tested, then you find out whether you’ve got the faith or not. Tested Faith is real faith when it comes through. Do you believe that? Exactly right. Now, it’s no good unless it’s tested.

2.And there is a testing time coming, and that’s why I am preaching this gospel. The way the nations, and to all the nations… everyone that says they are a Christian, everyone that says they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, they are going to be put to the test. It is coming. Now, people just sit around, no care. They just kind of relax, sit around, no care, and they just blow with the wind. They are not prepared. Then when something comes powerful from the Lord, or they need something from the Lord, or the Lord preaches a certain message, then they are not prepared for the test that shall come and surely it will come. You know, they just sit around like that. Now, if you are going to just float around, you would be blown right into hell. You better nail yourself down to the Word of God and buy [by] faith in God. Now, young people tonight, it’s very hard sometimes for them to hold on like the older people because there are so many tests each way. In the bible, it gives different ones in the bible to cause them to realize if satan tricks them in many different ways and they just go back out into the world. But He’s got His Word, and I will try to get in and help some of those people there. So if you are just going to float around, you’ll be blown out. Now, contend for the faith, the fight of faith. How many believe that? Not just some kind of an argument, but you contend with a good fight of faith. You have action. You have power behind that. You know, in preaching, sometimes you preach, and people get the idea they don’t like you. Well, they don’t like God either. So that leaves you wide open. Amen.

3.And one time, I was preaching a message a while back on something, as I was praying about it, the Lord said, and this is what He said. He told me, “Divine love.” He was showing me it’s hard, it will get to you. It got to almost every one of them in that Bible, those prophets. He said, “Divine love will win the utmost.” But He said, “Hate, will lose all and wind up in the second death, the lake of fire, too.” That’s what He said. And you have to have divine love when you bring it out, because when the Word of God goes forth and it has the power on it like it should, it’s going to stir like that mulberry tree. It’s going to shake it apart. Amen? Now, like I say, it doesn’t do you any good, unless it reaches in there and shakes it apart, it shakes that soul. I know why I talk and say sometimes, you know, people that are 100 percent and people say this and that, and when you really get down and you dig and you bring that message out, you begin to tear that all to pieces in there. I am preparing a people for the end of the age that are going to have to use their faith. And the people that listen to this message, saith the Lord, will receive the new and powerful faith that I will give. Oh, if you don’t listen to messages like this, then how are you going to receive the supernatural faith that He has promised to pour out on the church to take them away? See, you have to build.

4.You are going to have to have more than just floating around, more than one day I believe and the next day you don’t know what you believe in. See, that’s got to go. You have to hold right to it, solid as you can, because the test surely is going to come and the book of Revelation said you will be tried surely before the end of the age. So, it’s the good fight of faith. See, one minute people will be a friend of yours in the faith, and the next minute they will be your enemy of the faith. We are at the end of the age, and divine love has to be in there. You’ve got to have it, boy! Those prophets in the Bible, look back on them, how they could stand that test in there, it almost got to every one of them in there, the way they were mistreated. It was terrible how those people did those prophets for telling the truth, and so forth like that. And somebody says, “Well,” you are going to need it now. Tested faith through the fire will be tried as gold is tried. Watch and see. And Jude 1: 3, “Contend for the faith.” It is a good fight of faith. Now, you are not just going to, I wrote down here, you are not just going to walk right into heaven without a contest. You will be contested. Some people say, I just walk around, walk right into heaven. Oh, no. If you are going to get in the translation, and you are going to get in heaven, you are going to be contested. But will you have the faith at the end of the age that’s going to stand up? Certain things will happen to show you that it’s not standing up like it should stand up, and so forth like that. And so, the faith and the power in there, see, satan will throw all kinds of falsities [falsehood] and doctrines at you.

5.And when a message comes like it was the other night, and the people are bound up some like in there, and God is getting on them demon powers in there, enough to stir demon powers up. By the way, when you go back in history and you trace out, that is just kind of an oddity out there too and so forth like that, but enough to stir those demon powers up. But when you go to the very beginning where the Lord sent me from Mesopotamian age and on out through there and up and through there, you will find out some of the same false gods, some of the same idols, some of the same demonic powers, and the same things. The same names that they used in those days up through the Bible are now at the end of the age and are being used by New Age people and different kinds of cults and religion are coming back the same as it was in the Old Testament. And hundreds and hundreds of these types of idols and things are coming back. And when they get together, the unbelief and the power of that thing, you are going to have to have faith to offset that, even to get people to God. And so when it comes like that, be prepared. Now, Israel, they had cycles and the cycles of Israel were some cycles, they were in cycles with God and the Lord provided prophets and helped them, but then they began to refuse the prophets. Then they were out of favor with God. Now, you go back to the scriptures and find the years that they were out of favor and the years that they were in favor. And if you know anything about numerical values, you can bring that thing right back to the end. There is a message I got coming later on that I won’t get involved with here tonight, but it will really encourage and help the people to know what hour we’re living in. It’s the hour you better keep your faith lit. How many of you believe that? Exactly right. And they were out of favor and in favor with God. What happened? Even with the prophets and so forth like that, then they would decide that they would just give up. They would quit God. Then they would turn to idols, or they would be carried away by idols and these pagan idols and all kinds of idols. And then God, He just had to stand there and watch what they did. They were out of favor with the Lord, and they were in there worshiping idols and different gods.

6.Because why? They gave up on their faith. They didn’t believe what He had told them to do and the next thing they knew, they were worshiping something made out of wood. They were worshiping something that was made out of some kind of iron or some kind of stone or something or they were worshiping some kind of false prophet or something that was prophesied only good things and so forth. Oh, we got utterances of prophecies today and different movements out in there. Most of them don’t believe exactly like Pentecost or anything, but they prophesy, “Oh, we are going to all come together, we are going to be good, the nations are going to figure a way out of this.” They prophesy no famines. They prophesy no wars. They prophesy no quakes. “This thing is finally going to work out like we want; it’s going to work out, we are going to get a big system.” And all of these people out in there. Did you know, anywhere you look in the bible, He does prophesy good times and He prophesies bad times, but all along through the end of the age, it changes its pattern. There’s no way out. How many of you believe it? In fact, the only ones that find a way out are the ones that believe in prayer and the ones that have faith. Oh, my, come on now, saith the Lord, listen ye to what I’ve got to say! How many of you are listening out there? You know, I only wish some of those Sunday night new ones were here and I only wish, some of those probably that need this won’t be here tonight. But it will be out on cassette. As I stand and live, the Lord told me to bring it and I wrote it out, He told me. I didn’t want to miss anything in this. And so Israel turned and out of favor and in favor with God. Simply when they were out of favor, they began to let their faith go. They began to turn away and the next thing you know, they had false gods. Did you know in Hinduism today, and most of that’s in India and around surrounding countries, they started off with a few gods? But did you know they are recorded now in India and in the Hindu religion they have one million gods to worship and a few more probably since I spoke, if they can, you know, harp them up? And one guy was there and he said, “You know, we believe when you die, you will come back, you know, as this, you will come back at that. And he looked over, he said, “They don’t want to die over on that side of the Ganges river over here.” He said, “You see that donkey?” He said, “He came back as a donkey over there. You want to die on this side of the river.” Now they got that in their head. Amen. You know, somebody said, “Who in the world would believe in that when all of Jesus’ words in the Bible completely does away with that? People that hadn’t received the full Word of God or turned it down. Their faith got weak, they would believe in anything saith the Lord. Hold on to your faith and power there. Believe what the Lord shows you there and He will bless your heart there. So, they have a million gods, but finally those million gods will wind up with one head god and he will be false. Amen.

7.Now listen to this right here. Why are so many falling away and giving up? And 2 Thessalonians 2: 1- 3, the great falling away. Why are so many falling away? Why are so many giving up today? The Bible said, in that very chapter, because they believe not the truth, that they fell away. So, they believed not the truth. They had no faith in God. And somebody said, “Where am I going to need my faith?” Now, as we are entering the latter days, I’m not trying to be critical of all of you people out here tonight, but it will get back to maybe some of those that cannot see the demon powers that are coming up on the earth. There are so many demon powers, so many forces that are coming up on the earth, so much that they can’t see anything. If there were a few, they might see it, but it’s converging in every direction. You name it, in the system. You name what it is in the school, on the streets, in the churches, you name it, it’s coming up out of the pits and it’s coming to take over. Now, you say, “When will we need this faith?” Now, speaking at the end of the age in St. John 16:2 here, “Yea, the time cometh that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God a service.” The time is coming, right in this nation and every nation on this earth, saith the Lord, that they will kill you thinking they are doing God a service. That is that great system that shall rise upon the earth. To disagree with them is death, you have to get through it like that. Is that going to take faith? If you cannot stand up today, how are you going to stand up then? Only God can choose those people that are going to stand up at that time. 2 Timothy 3:12, “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” Now, all that live and believe in Christ Jesus and live according to His Word and believe in what He said are going to suffer persecution in the latter times, Paul said. This is coming. Exactly right. You are going to need faith. It’s got to come. Now, 1 Peter 4.16, “Yet, if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed.” Don’t be ashamed. If you have to suffer as a Christian and somebody mocks, somebody makes fun, they will steal your faith. You must have it in there. Yet, if any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God on this behalf. If you are persecuted and they try to put you to shame, then glorify God because it’s proud to be a Christian, amen, in the Word of the Lord. These things are not really bothering people everywhere right now, but they are coming.

8.A little bit of incidence will happen for God to lead that message right in there and turn it loose for a future time. You are going to need this as it comes. Do you have real faith to withstand, to suffer the persecution, or will you suffer for the things of Christ? In the latter times, He is speaking in many of these scriptures that shall come. One has to only turn the pages over a little bit in the book of Revelation, and he can see right away there’s going to be something taking place. Now, listen to this right here, God bless you. These men’s faith was tested, but they won. Why did they win? Because saith the Lord, they did not give up. Boy, the test was put to them! You don’t realize until you get caught up in the Spirit and feel that suffering and feel the torment that that devil put upon those men. I mean, they hit them. They stoned them. They did everything they could do to them. You don’t realize what it is in the age of America today, even myself and other ministers, what actually some of those prophets had to go through to bring the Word. But they had a material within them that was made by God, and that material stayed right with them, no matter if they would bend sometimes and spring right back. But they will not be numbered with a great falling away of those that believed not the truth, that contended one time that they believed the truth and said, “We believe.” But Paul said in the latter times, it shall not come unless there comes a great falling away from the truth, not from falsicity, [falsehood] but from the truth, they shall fall away. And then one sits up in the temple claiming that he is god. You go on with that and how satan can come in there with that. So, these men of faith were tested. Now, Moses, he stuck to the Word even though it hurt, he stuck right with what God said. One little time he was in error there, and he swung right back in there. He stuck right with it. But they [children of Israel] didn’t, and they died in the wilderness there. Abraham, he stuck it out, no matter what, thick or thin. When the final tab was in, Abraham, no matter if it took him scores of years, he stuck it out. He didn’t give up. And by his prayers, those children, even taken in captivity, went on out later. If he hadn’t stayed right with that Word, where would Israel be? Where would Jacob be at? Where would Joseph be at, see? And he stuck it out right there.

9.And Jacob, he wrestled it out until he got it all out of his system. He wouldn’t turn loose, evil on every hand, coming to get him from his brother Esau and he wrestled it out. He didn’t give up and just said, “Oh, brother.” No, sir, boy, he stayed right in there with it. Daniel determined to stand at all costs, “Put me in the lion’s den, but I will stand.” You will hear something really that people don’t know. In Solomon’s prayer and dedicating the temple, he actually spoke of the carrying away into captivity later and that those that would look back towards Jerusalem would come out of captivity. That’s in one of his prayers that he dedicated that temple. Now we find out why Daniel, he knew the prayer, he knew about that. He knew all about what was spoken there. And that’s why the great prophet stood at that window and looked back [toward Jerusalem] and prayed three times a day and he won because he stuck it out. He never gave up [at three times]. Examine your faith. See what it is when God reveals something to you. See if you can believe what God is telling you. See if you can carry on through with the Word of God. See, don’t just float around and say, “Well, you know, today is one day and tomorrow is another.” Hold steady. Amen. We are coming into a storm. You’ve got to hold that rudder. You’ve got to hold that ship steady. How many of you can believe that? It’s coming up on the scene there. So, these men, I’m telling you a little of the character that goes right in. And then David, every time he was in problems or enemy or something like that, David accepted victory. Oh, a little different on him, isn’t it? David accepted victory over and over when it seemed there was no hope, and his enemies had surrounded him, and he thought he was going down to the grave, and it looked like he wouldn’t pull out of it. He accepted the victory and he absolutely pushed God into it because he did not give up. He would not be numbered with those that fall away and disbelieve, it said in that very chapter, because they believe not the truth. How many of you believe that? Faith in the Word of God. And there’s that old prophet [prophecy], coming to pass, he accepted victory after victory, after victory. Daniel was determined.

10.Paul, well, Paul stood the test. Of all of them in the Bible and everywhere, he hardly ever buckled under any kind of a test or mistreatment that came his way. He had fortitude and that’s why he said, “Fight the good fight of faith.” It was a fight, a warfare had stepped in. The very elements are filled with these things, Paul said. He had stirred up the devil in one place and stirred him up in another place. The devil came after him, see, but he fought. He never gave up the fight. He fought a good fight. In fact, as he wrote it, he fought a very clean fight. Amen. He didn’t stoop to the tactics of the devil, but he used his faith. A man of fortitude. I mean, brother, he was concrete and cement! He [satan] couldn’t shake him loose. So with that great fortitude, he fought, just before he died, “I have fought a good fight.” Boy, it’s there! And so don’t fight it as an argument, don’t fight it this way with people. But fight the good fight by faith and divine love. I remember in my heart, He brought the divine love, and He said the church must receive this at the end of the age. It will win to the utmost, but He told me, on the other hand, hate will lose all in the second death. See, the devil, his plan is to get even the Christians hating one another. Oh, the devil laughs and he leaps for joy when he can do that and he will do it if you listen to him. You want to watch, be sober, be vigilant. Oh, he is walking about.

11.Now, young people, Samson in the bible, in his day, in the Judges, no great prophet, he came as a puzzle. In fact, a riddle himself. He was different from the others that came and, in the Judges, every man did that, which is right in his own eye. He didn’t have any leading. And God sent this strange one at that time. And listen to this right here in Samson’s time there, although he disobeyed God, he never gave up. How many of you believe that? Now, watch, young people, when you fall into an error and you fall into a mistake, watch! And the great Samson, he disobeyed God, but he never gave up. He was like a great cat in the jungle that raised up for his last battle that he was going to have. They punched his eyes out. They probably tried to starve him. They gave him heavy labor, they laughed at him and they mocked him. Those pagans, they were pagans, “Where is your God?” They did everything they could to cause him to give up for good and to throw away his faith. But like a great cat, the lion, when he raises up for the last battle, he never gives up. It’s to the death. And when he raised up, boy, you can feel that liquid fire going through that stadium. He said, “I am going to church.” He said, “Lead me to that pillar.” Boy, his bones were on fire. He would come back. Why did he come back? He never lost his faith. He never gave up on anything, young people! Young people, if you want a comic book hero, find Samson. He will outdo them all. He said, just lead me to that and you can just feel that supercharge coming back into him and see the lightning running up and down like liquid fire on those great stones. Four thousand of them in that concrete, bigger than this building or as big. He said, “Just lead me to those pillars there.” They thought he was out of his mind, and they led him to those pillows. There was a creaking and a popping in there and a great noise came out of him. All of a sudden, in the screams, he had torn [the building] to the ground. Everything came down and it crashed and thousands of pagan worshipers, they went down in horror. But the great man of faith turned the tide. He went down, but he went down in victory. He couldn’t have done it unless God was with him. And when Samson said, “My faith, I will not give up,” the Lord said, “What you are about to do, I’m in union with you, Samson, let’s get the unbelieving pagans in there.” And when he did, he raised up for the last battle. Why was he able to defeat the pagans and the unbelievers? Because saith the Lord, he never gave up. He held to the Word that was once delivered to him. And it went down, four thousand or something, crushed to the ground, young people! So, if satan misleads you away from your faith, something happens to you or your friend or whatever it is that causes you to unbelieve or tells you there’s nothing to it, remember, don’t give up. And you will be able to tear down their playhouse, for God will be with you. How many of you believe that? That happened in the Bible.

12.So fight the good fight of faith, because you are going to need it on your way up. How many of you believe that? Now remember, the test shall come on the face of the earth, it is said in Revelation 3, about verse 10. It will come to test your faith in the Word of God, and you’ve got to be prepared. You’ve got to kind of be like those prophets. No matter what, you’ve got to hold right on. If you turn loose, you will be blown away. How many of you believe that tonight? What I am saying is when God does something and the Lord reveals something, then have that faith that it will do you some good when you hear it or see it. How many of you believe that? So you will be tested. Yea, and if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God on this behalf. Yea, at the end of the age, they will kill you, thinking they are doing God a favor, that system upon this earth. Where is your faith then? Yea, and all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. You can’t go through the things that are coming upon this world without having the faith that has been tried and has proven itself. The bible says tested faith is real faith. And when Daniel was tested, he came forth. When Job was tested, he came forth as gold, the bible said. When all of them were tested and the disciples, they won out. Every one of them, but one that was lost in there because he didn’t believe and so forth like that. But all of them, John on Patmos, had he given up on Patmos, nothing would ever happen, but he had that faith. And who appeared to him? None other but the Ancient One, the Lord Jesus. He will, today. It takes faith to move around into God’s kingdom and to move around in His power. So remember, as far as I’m concerned, I will believe and preach it exactly as He gives it. When I can no longer do that, then I’ll pray that we or I or whoever can go on. Amen. Let us contend. Let us fight the good fight. Let us examine the faith that was once delivered because it was good faith, the ancient faith of power.

13.I want you to stand on your feet today. And all of you people on this tape recording, this will go around the country. It will go everywhere and it will help those people. They will feel the fire in this thing, and they will feel the power of the Lord and the anointing in the Lord. Working on so many other messages and coming into this, you could just feel the Lord, feel His power and all that He has for you. So, everyone in the audience, remember this message. There will come a day when you’ll say, “I remember what was spoken.” Amen. Let’s believe God. Let us praise the Lord tonight for this. He gave it, you can say what you want, I will not have to give an account only that I delivered it. God will give the account that He gave the message, and I really believe it in all my heart. Boy, examine it. Have that concrete, solid faith and He will bring you in.

14.Now, as we praise the Lord tonight, I’m going to pray a mass prayer for you. I’ve been leaving as quickly as I can because I’m working on so much stuff. So, I will be here for a moment. Then we will be back as God leads. Then we have a crusade coming up. So, come on down here and let’s see your faith towards God. Don’t let anything stand in your way, allow your faith to move. And just like in that stadium, just that thing lit up in there and lightning, boy, and I mean it went down. So, you believe God with all of your heart and everything that’s within you, believe Him, and something will take place right in this audience. Okay, thank you, Jesus. Praise God. Thank you, Jesus. Oh, yeah! Thank you, Jesus.
